LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Alexander Kronbrink Signature Sonic Station

May 13, 2018

Guitarist, composer and producer Alexander Kronbrink was born in Stockholm, Sweden.
He tried his father’s acoustic guitar, always lying around in the house, at an early age and when he was nine he got his first guitar lesson.
Early on Alexander started taking his guitar some hundred meters down the road to visit his friend and neighbour Jonathan Fritzén who played keyboards and the piano. Together they had jam sessions fooling around with jazz harmonies and even trying out some of their own compositions.
Today Fritzén is a big star in the smooth jazz genre and has had several number 1-hits on the Billboard charts in the US. He also appears on all Sonic Station records. As does Alexander on Fritzén’s records!
Even though Alexander never stopped practising his guitar in the music room of the family’s villa, it wasn’t until his early 20’s he decided to dedicate himself completely to music.
After going into a variety of music genres in his teens it was when a friend of his fathers introduced him to the music of American guitarist Lee Ritenour, Alexander started to see a direction in his playing. Through Ritenour he discovered the music of such giants as Steely Dan, Kenny Loggins, composer och producer David Foster and guitarist Jay Graydon, to mention a few.

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Chris Jasper Signature

April 22, 2018

If you are familiar with THE ISLEY BROTHERS, then you know Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, CHRIS JASPER, an integral member of THE ISLEY BROTHERS during the 1970s and 1980s—their gold and platinum years—from the 3+3 (1973) to Between the Sheets (1983) albums. These were the years when THE ISLEY BROTHERS were a self-produced, self-contained group.
If you are familiar with THE ISLEY BROTHERS, then you have heard the music of CHRIS JASPER, who was primarily responsible for writing, arranging and producing all of THE ISLEY BROTHERS music during this time, including such beautiful love songs as “For The Love of You” and “Between the Sheets” and uptempo funk such as “Fight the Power.” His arrangements and instrumentation as a classically-trained musician, and his expertise on the keyboards and synthesizers, are the foundation of the legendary “Isley Brothers Sound.” When the six members of THE ISLEY BROTHERS disbanded (1984), Marvin and Ernie Isley joined CHRIS JASPER and formed ISLEY-JASPER-ISLEY. Without this crucial musical component, THE ISLEY BROTHERS were no longer a self-produced, self-contained group.
CHRIS JASPER brought his “unique sound” and musical talents to ISLEY-JASPER-ISLEY, and topped the charts singing lead vocals on “Caravan of Love” (1985), a song that was covered by English recording group, the Housemartins, an international #1 pop hit. “Caravan” was also used in commercials as part of a Dodge Caravan advertising campaign. He was also awarded a CEBA Award For Excellence for a Miller Brewing Company commercial. The music for that commercial formed the basis for “Brother to Brother” from the “Different Drummer” album, which supported the anti-apartheid struggle going on in South Africa at that time. His music has also been used in radio and television commercials, including “Who’s That Lady” (Swiffer) and “Between The Sheets” (L’Oreal).

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Frank Ryle Signature Cool Million

April 08, 2018

Growning up on music, both my father and my mother were big music listeners – my mother was into folk, jazz & classical and my father was a soul-man and also very much into the crooner music such as Frank Sinatra (hence my name). Also he was a singer but never made it big, he stayed a happy amateur.

When i was about 13 years old i started to buy and collect music – at first it was everything that sounded cool – cloud be; Blancmange, Heaven 17, Robert Palmer, Gary Nyman, Depeche Mode, Human League, B52 and Haircut 100.

Then at some point i discovered soul music and early rap, but i think it was the album ‘The Real Deal’ by The Isley Brothers, that sealed it for me! Since then (1982) i’ve been locked into soul music in all shapes and forms.

Cool MBeing young and collecting and buying music led me to make mixtape for friends and by that followed small DJ routines from time to time. I couldn’t afford a mixer, so i never really saw myself as a real DJ. Soul music never was the biggest genre in Denmark – and i have always been really strict on only playing soul and funk music so it was hard to get around it.

Years later, me and a good friend started a web site ( focusing on soul, funk, jazz and R&B music – it was news flash, reviews and interviews about soul music and all the sub-genres. It became quite succesful over the years and it ran for about 7 years.

During that period I was asked to help a friend make a remix – a new world opened up to me. Immediately i was hooked on creating music. Quickly i had made my first song ever, it was ‘Naughty Girl’. That led to a remix from Rob Hardt and from that point we became friends and not long after the original line up was changed, to what it is today. That was in 2007 and now 8 years later we (Cool Million) have produced 4 albums and a couple of side projects plus more than 20 remixes for other artists.

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Evelyn Kallansee Signature

March 11, 2018

I was born on the Caribbean island of Curacao but grew up in the Netherlands, northern Europe. Ever since I can remember I’ve been singing or humming some song or self invented musical piece. Music has always been the way to express my feelings. Because it’s such a big part of me to perform and to sing my songs, speak my heart,  I feel so fulfilled that the ability to use these skills in my professional live are there within me. I’m very passionate about bringing joy to others and to reach out to people in a musical and serious way, but also comical, and, I can’t help it, emotional! I sing with the emotions that live within me, and use acting skills to communicate them. I really feel the emotions that I reflect….I’ve noticed that people sense that, and it touches them.
After singing in one of the first big musical productions in Holland, Les Miserables, I went to the ‘Akademie voor Kleinkunst’ (The Academy for Performing Arts) in Amsterdam. After graduating I’ve done many different things like; singing in pop Bands, musical productions, touring with Marco Borsato  (a well known Dutch singer) o.a., as backing vocalist, and acting and singing in TV-shows. I have always enjoyed the diversity of my work! Right now my main focus is on the Band Tristan, in which I sing and write songs with a couple of amazingly gifted musicians! We’re planning on the single release and the album is coming up shortly!

In 2012 Champlin/Williams/Friestedt put together an  ALL STAR BAND to do a sold out tour in Scandinavia. One of the concerts form The tour was released as a DVD. The ”Live In Concert” DVD made it all the way to the top of the Scandinavian chart.
The Champlin/Williams/Friestedt collaboration continued with a brand new studio recording called CWF released in 2015 by AOR Heaven (Europe) and Pony Canyon (Japan).

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Don Breithaupt 'Monkey House' Signature

February 18, 2018

Don Breithaupt (pronounced Bright-up) (born April 8, 1961 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario) is a pianist, singer/songwriter, composer, arranger, producer and author.

He received his musical education at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied Jazz Composition and Arranging, and his literary education at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, receiving a B.A. (Honours) in English and Film Studies

Breithaupt was raised in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada (then a western suburb of Toronto) in a musical household. His father was a jazz piano enthusiast, and his mother was an accomplished classical soprano and choir director, so music was heard regularly in the home. His parents took him and his two younger brothers, who were also musically inclined, to concerts and bought them records. Breithaupt started taking piano lessons at a young age, but he discontinued the lessons at age eight. He took up the piano again at age twelve, at a time when Elton John, Billy Joel, and other piano-based pop artists were becoming radio staples. He picked up this and other music by ear, eventually developing an insider’s knowledge of the work of Steely Dan, the Beatles, Chicago, and Paul Simon. He played the drums in rock bands during his high school years, but never abandoned the piano. Songwriting became his strongest interest. As an English/Film undergraduate at Queen’s University in nearby Kingston, Ontario, Breithaupt spent much of his spare time at Harrison-LeCaine Hall, practicing piano, writing songs, and teaching himself the craft of arranging. He immersed himself in jazz: the Pat Metheny Group, Weather Report, and several of the pianists he had first heard as a child: Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, and Dave Brubeck. In 1983, upon completion of his bachelor’s degree, Breithaupt was awarded a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music by the Frederick Harris Music Company.

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents David Diggs Signature

February 11, 2018

A melodic imagination and an extensive education in arranging, composition, orchestration, and conducting have carried David Diggs to the heights of jazz artistry and to the top of the jazz charts. With a unique blend of instrumentation — a mixture of jazz and rhythm & blues, Diggs brings a dimension of ‘blue-eyed soul’ to his music.
Under the influence of Michel Legrand, Claus Ogerman and Quincy Jones, Diggs polished his arranging and producing talents, which were eventually featured on projects by Pat & Debby Boone, Irene Cara, Richie Furay, The Brothers Johnson, Jonathan Butler, as well as David’s own albums.   David’s album Streetshadows was a top ten entry on BILLBOARD’S Jazz Album Chart for 26 weeks.  To this list of musical credits, David has added television programs, including The Tonite Show and Midnite Special, Better Homes & Gardens’ 90-minute Television special, and feature films, including American International Pictures’ California Dreamin’. He has produced/arranged several Grammy-nominated albums including the music for “Finally Captured” by comedian Jonathan Winters.
“Black Coffee” is the new standards/American Songbook CD that unites Top Ten Billboard jazz artist David Diggs with his daughter Rachel, whose “Hands of Time” from her CD “Center of the Earth” was featured in ABC Family TV’s “Pretty Little Liars.”
Inspired by his passion for living, David Diggs’ music is revealing and realistic, unrestrained and upbeat.  Up front and honest, Black Coffee – his latest release – unites David’s old-fashioned heart with a contemporary jazz sound.

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Tom Snow Signature

January 28, 2018

Tom Snow is one of the most respected and recorded songwriters of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. His work can be found in virtually every genre. Artists as diverse as Barbra Streisand, Little Feat, Selena and Ray Charles have performed his songs.
Tom was born in 1947, in Princeton, NJ.  In 1965 he entered the Berklee College of Music in Boston with the hope of becoming a jazz pianist. Four years later he had earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition, graduating second in his class. Putting aside his jazz pianist dream he set out to pursue a  career in songwriting .
Migrating to California in the summer of ’69, Tom found a job at Viscount Records in Santa Monica.  Together with fellow employee Michael Fondiler he  wrote and performed songs in the area’s folk music clubs and small restaurants. The two were  discovered by Michael O’Bryant and not long after signed to an album deal with an Atlantic Records subsidiary, Clean Records.  A year later the LP “Country” was released.
In 1975 Tom signed with Capitol Records as a solo act and produced two albums: “Taking It All In Stride” and “Tom Snow”.
In 1978 he changed his focus from his recording career to writing hits for others. His first BMI airplay award came in 1978 with the recording (by Rita Coolidge) of “You”, a tune he had written for his first album at Capitol. Rita’s version hit the top thirty and Tom’s writing career was up and running.
Working with the cream of Hollywood’s “in-house” songwriting talent and collaborating with a wide variety of artists, he spent the next 25 years building an extensive and eclectic catalogue. Able to adapt to any musical genre while honing  his craft as a “tunesmith” he developed the much sought after commercial touch. He also composed for Film and TV and was the composer for the Broadway Musical “Footloose”.
In 1982 Tom departed briefly from his writing career to make one last solo album, “Hungry Nights”,  for Clive Davis’s Arista Records.
He has won and/or been nominated for numerous awards including the Oscar, the Grammy, the Emmy and the Tony. Among his many achievements are 15 BMI “Millionaires” awards for songs receiving a million or more plays on radio. In 1986 Tom won the prestigious Robert J. Burton Award for BMI’s Most Performed Country Song of the Year, Dolly Parton’s “Don’t Call It Love” .
In 2000 Tom was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Berklee.

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Tomi Malm Signature

January 21, 2018

Tomi Malm has been playing music since the age of four when he began his first piano lessons. He was soon encouraged to pursue a career as a classical pianist, and studied hard to rise above the standards. He played in competitions and managed to perform in some major venues. Later he showed interest in jazz and popular music and started to listen intensively to Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Duke Ellington, Weather Report and Joni Mitchell. He began his professional career at a very early age, and as a teen performed with a variety of local bands. He went through three conservatories, studying classical composing and conducting. Later he started playing sessions at the studio, and doing arrangements. At the same time he joined different bands and started an active performing career. At nineteen he gave that up and concentrated mainly on studio work, producing, arranging and frequently performing. His career has been very versatile, as he has gone through almost all types of music man can imagine. Though the array of artists he's produced is diverse, running the gamut from Sweden's Ana Johnson to Nurspirit Helsinki to hard rockers Bleak, his productions are singular and recognizable.

<< back to artists
He has also recorded countless records, commercials, film scores, trailers and jingles, and his composing and sound design work can clearly be heard throughout the world in all major media outlets. In 2009 Tomi produced and arranged the critically-acclaimed tribute album to the legendary David Foster "Fly Away". This stunning release featured some of the finest singers and musicians on the planet, including Bill Champlin, Robbie Dupree, Bill Cantos, Jeff Pescetto or the late Warren Wiebe, and marked his breakthrough internationally.

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents William Sikström Signature

January 11, 2018

These are the tracks that, for me, best portrait west coast music. I love the arrangements and chord changes and I hope people can hear that they have inspired me when I write my music. The Rhodes is an essential part in the sound and is included in most of the tracks. I've been playing along to these tracks since I was a little boy in one way or another but mostly with bass and guitar, in later years drums and keyboard as well, in that way I don't no much else than how to play these kind of arrangements. It's hard to capture the feel of the sound in these tracks, it's so genuin and analog, I've tried to get the exact sound but it's really difficult. I could make this list very much longer but these are my favorites, you never get sick of them, I think I will be listening to them as much as I do now when I'm old. I hope you'll enjoy my signature playlist.

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Andreas Aleman Signature

December 26, 2017

Andreas Aleman was born and raised in Södertälje, a town south of Stockholm, Sweden.
Around age 3, Andreas began playing the piano and the accordion, writing simple songs on both.
Andreas's parents’ tastes in music rubbed off on the young man; he would often come home from school and listen to their LPs of artists such as Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, and Elton John, among others.
This exposed Andreas to soul, funk, blues, gospel, and good pop music, which in turn influenced his style and writing.
During junior high, he began playing the keyboard and singing in different bands. When it was time to start high school, he applied and was accepted into a music program where he studied for 3 years. It was a constant journey of discovery of new music and new artists. There, he gained an appreciation for the likes of Michael McDonald, Toto, Tower of Power, Maceo Parker, Nils Landgren, Donny Hathaway, Prince, Michael Ruff, and more.
During this time, he played and sang quite a bit around Stockholm. For a number of years, he played the piano for several choirs, including the Immanuel Gospel Choir and the Stockholm East Gospel Choir. Playing and singing gospel was a fantastic learning experience.
Andreas was also a member of the group Funkisch. Even though it was not trendy at that time, he wrote and played funk and fusion music with them. The band didn’t care about popularity, though; their main driving force was simply to have a good time.
It was when Andreas met with songwriter and producer Brian Hobbs (Eidolon Productions) that a collaboration started, which has since resulted in a ton of great songs and productions, as well as a strong friendship.
Andreas has been recorded by Italian superstar Laura Pausini, and has worked with both Spanish artist Rosa Lopez and Gary Valenciano from the Philippines, just to name a few of his connections.

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Tom Glide Signature

December 09, 2017

Influenced by the funk soul revival of the mid-ʻ80s, “In the Name of Luv” bridges the gap between new school and old school with a contemporary mix of percolating dance tracks and spicy slow jams. Adding extra punch to this musical stimulus package: live
instrumentation by some of the industryʼs most talented and renowned players. With credits ranging from Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye and George Duke to Earth, Wind & Fire and the Rolling Stones, the Luv All-Stars collective includes trumpeter Rahmlee Michael Davis, keyboardist Larry Dunn, bassist Alex Al, drummer James Gadson and percussionist Rafael Padilla.

“In the Name of Luv” is slated for release this Fall on independent label Can U Feel It Records, which colorfully captures the projectʼs musical intent. “Itʼs a universal vision; a revival featuring an amazing cast of real musicians,” says Glide. “With a foot in the past and the other in the future, the Luv All-Stars possess a passionate vision of creating music that couples the old with the new; live instrumentation layered with modern technology. We pray weʼve created music to uplift people; to bring people closer together.” To make that vision a reality, Glide enlisted what he calls a “dream team” of collaborators. The trio includes horn and vocals arranger Rahmlee Michael Davis, engineer/mixer Patrick Green and producer/drummer Patrick Smadja—the latter of whom is partners with Glide in Can U Feel It Records and Publishing. The concept for the album, in fact, was born several years earlier when college students/ fledgling band musicians Glide and Smadja promised each other that one day they would record an album together with legendary members of the Earth, Wind & Fire band. “It was a dream come true,” recalls Glide of the phone call he received in 2009 from Smadja reminding him of their college pledge. “We decided then and there to start the project with one clear briefing: ʼ85 funk and soul music—and no compromises.”

Expanding in scope as enthusiasm for the project took root, “In the Name of Luv” was launched in Glideʼs home studio during summer 2009. That fall, Glide relocated to Los Angeles to enlist more key players for additional sessions. In addition to his dream team, Glide collaborated with songwriter/musicians Dan Florean and Terry Tam, lyricists Sonya Muhammad and Alaena Adams, strings arranger Maurice Herd and vocalist Tim Owens. The result is an 11-track set jam-packed with choice cuts, propelled by soaring horns, lush strings and expressive vocals. Glide and crew get the revival started with energetic opener “Get It Off.” Other uptempo highlights include “Can U Feel It” and “Whatʼs Your
Fantasy”—reminiscent of the Earth, Wind & Fire classic “Boogie Wonderland.” Slowing things down, the All-Stars keep it just as hot on the torchy “Iʼm Crazy,” featuring the sweet, emotional tenor of singer Orlando Johnson.

Throughout “Luv” you can hear the many musical influences that have inspired Glide since the Parisian taught himself to play guitar, drums, bass and keyboards at 10 years old. Those influences run the gamut from pop, rock, soul and jazz to dance, reggae, house, tech and dub. “I have a 360-degree point of view when it comes to music,” explains Glide. “The things that influence me are in constant mutation.”
As a youngster whose “first musical revelation” was Jimi Hendrix, Glide later embraced the work of Quincy Jones, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, EWF, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, and Kool & the Gang, among a host of others.

His credits as a producer, composer, arranger and singer include the 2002 Beatcrusher track “What Da F***,” Ilona Mitreceyʼs 2005 gold and platinum album, “Un Monde Parfait,” and Glideʼs first release on his own Glide Recordings label, 2008ʼs “Yoga on the
Dancefloor” by Ekayani and the Tom Glide Space. Now the stage is set for Glideʼs next musical adventure, “In the Name of Luv” featuring the Luv All-Stars. And thereʼs just one thing he wants people to do as they listen to the album: get up and dance in the name of Luv.

“This is music that erases the distance between the past and the present, and looks ahead to the future,” says Glide. “Itʼs a universal
celebration of togetherness, brotherhood and Luv.”

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Venice Mark Lennon Signature

November 14, 2017

Mark Andrew Lennon is best known as the blond-haired lead singer of the band, Venice, although his list of musical credits is lengthy and versatile. Mark has toured with Cher and Phil Collins, and most recently joined Roger Waters of Pink Floyd on the highly successful world tour of “The Wall.” A well-respected and sought-after session singer, Mark has sung back up for Don Henley and Billy Bob Thornton, among others. He is also part of the cover band, The Pine Mountain Logs. They perform publicly and privately, wowing their audiences with familiar danceable and popular songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s as well as current chart toppers.
Mark Lennon’s life has revolved around music since he was born on March 28, 1963. His cousins are the famous Lennon Sisters and his father and uncles sang professionally as The Lennon Brothers. Mark himself began his professional singing career at age 14 when he joined the band Venice with his cousins Pat and Kipp Lennon, and older brother Michael. Born and raised in Venice Beach, California (hence the band’s name), their signature sound is distinctly “Californian” reflecting early influences from another So Cal band of brothers and cousins, The Beach Boys, as well as Crosby, Stills and Nash, and The Eagles.
Mark’s voice lends itself to everything from romantic ballads to rock and funky blues. One might hear him sing the “Ave Maria” a capella and “Desperado” in the same set during a Venice performance. As a live performer with a powerful stage presence and abundant charisma, Mark Lennon holds an audience in the palm of his hand.
His behind-the-scenes credits include voiceovers for Disney and any number of commercials for television and radio. In addition to his work with Venice, Mark has written and performed solo over the years. Venice is very popular in The Netherlands and Mark has toured there numerous times with the band and also as a solo artist.
A consummate artist, Mark also draws and paints, designs jewelry and created a popular line of painted clothing, all of which he sells through this website along with his solo CDs. Personable and approachable, Mark makes time for his many fans, often doing post-performance meet and greets with Sharpie in hand, happy to sign merchandise or pose for photos. He’s lent his vocal talents to many fund-raising efforts and is much beloved for not only his fine voice but for his generous heart.
As the youngest of 13 children, Mark is very family oriented. He is constantly attending, hosting, or participating in family functions with siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and somehow manage to keep up with extended family and friends as well. He enjoys traveling the world, dining out with friends, going to movies, dancing, body surfing, water skiing, and jumping off high cliffs into lakes and seas whenever possible.
All things combined, Mark's look and talents appeal to a wide range of audiences, young and old, all around the world.

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Atar Shafighian Signature

November 10, 2017

Atar Shafighian is a songwriter, composer and producer from the UK. Classically-trained on the piano since the age of four, he discovered his love of Jazz and Funk from the age of ten during the UK Acid Jazz movement. Groups like Jamiroquai and Incognito, amongst others, served as an initial gateway for him to work back through time and discover the ‘greats’. Various addictive phases followed during his early teens with an array of artists including Herbie Hancock, EWF, George Michael, Prince and Michael Brecker. Then at the age of sixteen his girlfriend (now wife) introduced him to Donald Fagen and Steely Dan. That was one of two critical and seminal points during Atar’s musical journey, the second of which would occur in 2005 when he was to discover the music of Ivan Lins whilst studying Jazz at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
In 2002 Atar formed Atar and The Funkadrome, a fifteen-piece funk fusion group. Within a year of formation, the group were signed to D Records and Notting Hill Music Publishing. Their debut album Funkadrome was then released in 2005 and featured the singles You Set My Soul on Fire and Clear Blue Skies.
In 2010 Atar released Chapter One independently with his project Royal Showdown. The group’s style was more minimal and significantly more indie in tone and approach than that of the Funkadrome. The opening track Entertain the Mystery was also to be Michael Chillingworth’s first collaboration as guest saxophonist on Atar’s music. The Royal Showdown album can still be downloaded for free via Bandcamp. Just click here:
Atar released his first solo album in 2013 through his own label SUS Music. A concept album entitled The Rise and Fall of Danny Chevron, it features a range of guests including Michael Chillingworth, Pete Churchill, Sue Quin, George Moore and founder of The Doctors of Madness, Richard Strange. The project was a straight-to-tape affair recorded by Joe Leach at The Cowshed Studio in London, mixed by the masterful Russ Hayes and mastered by the legendary Bernie Grundman.
Atar has worked with an array of artists as a keys player, arranger and producer, including Ben Barritt, Nate Williams, Escala and Down to The Bone. He is currently working on new material for a fourth album and is also developing music for a large ensemble instrumental album. He has worked in music education for the past ten years and lectures in harmony, composition and arranging. He is also a recent graduate of law from University of Westminster and is passionate about football, golf and cinema. He lives in London with his wife and two sons.

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Contante & Sonante Gabriel Raya Signature

October 31, 2017

Contante & Sonante is an independent record label, founded in 2004 by A&R executive Gabriel Raya and based in Madrid, Spain. We create and release limited editions of otherwise unavailable adult contemporary music, recordings we believe will be of interest to collectors.
Most of our titles are manufactured in pressings of as few as one thousand copies, and each individually numbered limited edition title is deleted from the catalogue once its announced pressing limit has been sold out.
With some exciting new projects due to drop in the near future, we have stuck to our “quality over quantity” motto and proven our focus is to manufacture classic releases rather than contribute to flooding the scene with half arsed product.
We believe that Contante & Sonante is more than just a record label. We truly believe in the music we produce and the philosophy we promote: music can change the way you look at life. Great music can make great changes! We hope you agree. Come along for the ride!

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Geyster Signature

October 27, 2017

Geyster is originally a duo formed by Gaël Benyamin and Pernilla Grönlund in 1999. Their first cooperation occured in 1998 when they both attended the M.I. (Musicians Institute) music school in Los Angeles. In 2002, the project seduced Joachim Garraud, successful producer/remixer (David Guetta, Jean-Michel Jarre...) who became with Gaël co-producer of the first album of Geyster 'I Love 1984' (Radio Geyster).
Their first single 'Bye Bye Superman' was airplayed all over Europe the whole summer of 2003. Since then Gaël Benyamin released 5 studio albums on his own label Somekind Records, including 'Everytime I See Your Face' (2007- featuring the single 'Under The Fuse Of Love'), 'No Kiddin'' (2009), 'Radio Geyster 1977' (2011). 'Summertime' (2012 - covers album) marks the end of his collaboration with Pernilla.
His sixth album 'Down On Broadway' (including the single 'Jane') was released in summer 2013, and his latest work "The Knight Games Trilogy" (3 albums) was released in spring 2015.
The parisian Gaël Benyamin is the lead-singer-songwriter/arranger/producer/multi-instrumentalist and also takes care of all the technical stuff (mixing, mastering...). Gaël's songs tend to be very melodic. His songs can sound rock or built with jazz-influenced chords and a funky feel in the beat, the melody is always predominant. He knows how to combine a vintage 70's music feel with today's sound into a unique style. Often tagged as 'Westcoast Music' Geyster's music is mostly pop-music with a wide range of influences, and the blend is always very subtle...

LATE NIGHT DREAM Presents Ed Motta Signature

October 24, 2017

At the end of the 80´s Ed Motta burst upon the music scene as a major singer and one of Conexão Japeri´s composers and producers. He was an instant success on the carioca show circuit and his 1988 debut album, "Conexão Japeri" (Warner), confirmed it. Songs like "Manuel", "Vamos dançar", "Baixo Rio" and "Um love" became big hits. The songs were marked by lavish musicality and introduced strong soul and funk components into the pop-rock scene that was the rage in Brazil at the time. It was soon clear that at age 16, Ed Motta had arrived and was making plans to soar much higher.
Two decades later, not even the most optimistic of optimists could have foreseen he would get this far. Today he is a singer and composer, plays several instruments, makes arrangements and produces music in many different countries. In his own style, while remaining loyal to funk-soul, he mixes influences that vary from jazz to popular Brazilian music, from Hollywood film soundtracks to rock, from classical music to American standards, from bossa nova to reggae. The result of this melting pot of references has already been recognized all over the world and acknowledged in recent tours across Europe, Japan, the United States and South America. Inside studios or on stage, Ed has also played with names such as Roy Ayers, Chucho Valdés, Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick (leader of Incógnito), Ryuichi Sakamoto, Paul Griffin, Bernard Purdie, Bo Diddley, Ed Lincoln, Miltinho, Mondo Grosso, Marcos Valle, João Donato, Dom Salvador, among many others.

October 13, 2017

Andy Platts is a songwriter and vocalist known primarily through his work with the band Mamas Gun whose sound bridges classic melodic pop songwriting with retro and contemporary soul/groove sensibilities. In 2009 the band’s debut album  ‘Routes to Riches’ , spearheaded by Platts’ own song ‘House on a Hill',  gave the band a great start with a no. 3 sales chart hit in Japan with the album yielding airplay no.1’s in Japan, Hong Kong and Indonesia. ‘House on a Hill’ was the most played song on Japanese radio in 2009. Thanks to their debut and follow-up ’The Life & Soul’,  Mamas Gun have become a potent live force in South East Asia having regularly toured Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Singapore in recent years as well as much of Europe and the UK. Most recently Mamas Gun's 3rd record 'Cheap Hotel' so far has made the top 30 in the UK Independent album charts and has had A-playlisted singles across the BBC in the UK and in major national stations in Europe and Asia.
As well as his work with Mamas Gun, Platts has enjoyed chart success writing songs for artists in Asia and mainland Europe. In 2012 he penned a Korean no.1 hit single ‘Falling’ for Korean-American Artist John Park and in April 2015 he enjoyed a second no.1 hit single with 'Shine Your Light’ for Korean superstar Park Hyo Shin. In Japan 2014 Platts wrote the lead single for the no.1 Japanese album 'YOU' by JPOP heart throb Yamashita Tomohisa, as well as writing singles for well known Japanese duo ELT and more recently working on material for Japanese boyband stars Arashi. Most recently Platts has been working on more leftfield material with Beverley Knight in respect of her next studio album and he has also found time to write and record an album entitled ‘West End Coast’ with cult American musician Shawn Lee, under the name Young Gun Silver Fox which pays homage to the golden era of music made on the West Coast of the USA in the late 70's.
